Pepper Jelly Burger

This is a fun twist on a hamburger and great way to go through all the pepper jelly you purchased for the holidays.  It's a hamburger stuffed with cream cheese and pepper jelly.  Sure picture is a little blah, but the taste was great!

Pepper Jelly Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. avocado oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. steak seasoning
  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 tsp. pepper jelly
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • the usual hamburger toppings
Serves 4
Cook Time: 15 minutes

​Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat.  Season ground beef with Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning, mix and divide into 8 equally-sized meat balls.  Divide cream cheese into 4 pats (like a pat of butter). 
Flatten the meatballs into hamburger-shaped discs.  Place one pat of cream cheese on 4 of the discs and top each pat of cream cheese with a teaspoon of pepper jelly; top each with the remaining 4 hamburger discs.  Crimp edges together so the cream cheese and pepper jelly are completely encased inside the hamburger.
Cook through flipping once; a total of 5-7 minutes.  Allow to rest so the cream cheese can settle.  Enjoy!
